Part Number: AAM-603
Stocked in curly maple this Virginia style rifle is finished to a nut brown color. The hand forged iron furniture has a natural patina finish, with small speckles of brown. In new condition with a patina finish on the iron furniture, the maple stock has no dents, dings, or handling marks. Regular use and handling will give this rifle the appearance of a well maintained antique. The furniture was hand forged and the rifle assembled by contemporary builder Steve Losey.

The Colerain 38" swamped octagon .50 caliber cut rifled barrel is finished to a dark blue to compliment the hand forged iron furniture. The large caliber and swamped profile make this rifle point easily, without being overly heavy. Cut rifled, the bore has six deep radius grooves with a 1 in 56" twist for a tightly patched round ball. The bore is bright as-new.

The front sight is a nickel silver blade, mounted 1-3/4" behind the muzzle. The hand forged flat top rear sight is dovetailed 11 from the breech.
