This handy musketoon is stocked in walnut and trimmed in a mixture of brass and iron furniture. The wrist and forearm are checkered to provide the shooter with a secure grip. The .69 caliber tapered round barrel and round faced flintlock are finished to a dark brown. The side panel is fitted with a sling ring and bar. Assembled by contemporary maker Richard Hanson.
The 18" tapered round barrel was custom made by Whitacre Machine Shop. The .69 caliber bore is rifled with three lands and grooves in 19th century military fashion. The barrel is finished to dark brown. The barrel is fitted with a flat top rear sight and blade front sight.
