This CVA Hawken Rifle is stocked in beech, finished as maple, trimmed in brass furniture, and decorated with brass oval inlays and cap box. The buttplate, triggerguard, and matching brass trim are tarnished to a non-glare appearance, after some handling and use. Target shooters often prefer to keep the brass polished bright, while hunters prefer a natural patina of tarnish.
Used, this rifle has some wear and scratches in the barrel bluing and the stock has a number of dents and scratches, but the rifle works well and has a bright bore.
