Part Number: AAN-783
This flintlock longrifle is influenced by the Gillespie family from North Carolina circa early to mid 19th century. This rifle is stocked in maple, trimmed in brass furniture with a dark patina finish. The rifle has a dark brown finish on the Jim Chamber's late Ketland flintlock, and Green Mountain straight octagon barrel. The top flat of the barrel is marked by the builder D. Nichols.

The .50 caliber 7/8" octagon Green Mountain barrel is 36" long. The .50 caliber bore is cut rifled with eight lands and grooves with a 1 in 72" twist for a tightly patched round ball. Well maintained, the bore is bright. Green Mountain Muzzle Loading Rifle Barrels are machined from high quality American made bar stock, A.I.S.I. 1137 modified, stress relieved, annealed, certified rifle barrel quality steel. All barrels are drilled from solid stock, reamed to a high degree of smoothness, then optically checked for straightness. Very close tolerances are maintained.

We recommend our #BALL-490 swaged lead .490" diameter round ball, with #OX-15-BD bulk dry .015" patching, cut at the muzzle. Lubricate the patch with our #MINK-OIL tallow patch grease, beef tallow, or animal fat lubricant, for best accuracy.
