This used .45 caliber Thompson Center Hawken percussion rifle was neatly assembled from a kit. The walnut stock is in excellent condition with a rubbed oiled finish and better than average inletting and shaping than found on most kits. The brass work is polished to a matte finish, that has aged to a mellow patina. The .45 caliber bore is bright and has been well maintained. The barrel finish shows some discoloration around the nipple from firing and cleaning. The lock works well, and the double lever double set triggers fire set or unset.
