This Lyman Deerstalker rifle is well used with large marks and abrasions on the stock, and wear on the blue barrel finish. Right hand, .50 caliber percussion, this rifle is stocked in walnut with blue-black furniture. The rifle has a single trigger with large bow for a hunter's gloved finger, sling swivel mounts with a leather sling, the factory original bead front sight and folding blade rear sight.
The 21" octagon-to-round barrel is rifled in .50 caliber with a 1 in 48" twist. The .50 caliber bore is bright and has been well maintained. The barrel was fitted with Lyman's white bead front sight, for easy sighting in the field. The blued steel folding blade rear sight is mounted to the barrel. Made with an adjustable sliding inner leaf for elevation and windage adjustment. It folds flat, to allow use with a peep style sight. The tang of the breech is drilled and tapped to accept the Lyman 57 rear sight #RS-57-SML.
