Part Number: AAP-282
The J.M. Cooper pocket model revolvers were manufactured circa 1850 to the late 1860's. Early revolvers were manufactured in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania while later 1864 to 1869 production was at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This example is marked with the Philadelphia address on the barrel. The barrel retains some original blue finish. The action has a speckled gray patina. The brass backstrap and triggerguard have a dark patina. The walnut grips have small handling marks, but no chips or repairs. The revolver mechanically functions correctly.

Overall this revolver has a very similar profile to a Colt Pocket Model revolver. The .31 caliber barrel is 5" with an octagon profile. The cylinder is five shot with recessed notches between the cylinders to engage the hammer in a "safe" position. Unlike Colt revolvers this revolver is double action.
