Part Number: AAP-356
This antique New York style parlor rifle is stocked in checkered black walnut and trimmed in period nickel silver furniture. The back action percussion lock has a long linkage that rides down the bore of the barrel to strike a nipple accessed along the bottom flat. A 6" long liner is installed with a .28 caliber bore with frosted rifling visible. The double set triggers operate the lock from the set position only.

The 25" barrel primarily houses the long arm that rides down the bore to strike the nipple in the end of the barrel liner. The liner with the .28 caliber bore itself is 6" long and the nipple is accessed through a rectangular slot in the bottom flat with a trapdoor to cover the nipple when firing. The liner on this example is removable. A tapered pin holds the liner in place, and a match mark on the muzzle end helps to align the liner when installing it. The liner is fitted with a antique nipple, we did not attempt to remove the nipple. The bore has a lightly pitted appearance.
