This Thompson Center Hawken rifle is used with a few handling marks on the stock. The rifle is stocked in a nicely figured piece of American walnut and the barrel has been blued. The brass furniture has aged to a mottled patina from handling. The large percussion lock has been color case hardened and has a lovely amount of color.
The heart of the rifle is the T/C .54 caliber 28" barrel. The 28" barrel has Thompson Center's QLA (Quick Load Accurizer) feature. The QLA is a relief of the rifling, the first inch of the barrel has no rifling, allowing loads to be easily started and quickly loaded. The barrel is fitted with factory Thompson Center bead front sight and windage and elevation adjustable sights.
With an overall weight of 9.3 pounds and a trigger reach of 14", this rifle is perfectly suited for today's average to larger size shooters.
