Part Number: AAQ-251
Neatly fit and finished this French fusil is stocked in black walnut and trimmed in engraved brass furniture. Constructed by contemporary gunbuilder Alex Efremenko, this nice fusil has its origins in the fur trade of the early 1700's. French fusils such as the "Type C & D, and Tulle fusil-de-chasse were imported into Canada in vast numbers to fill the demands of natives and colonists.

Stocked in walnut and trimmed in brass furniture. No forend cap is fitted on this trade gun. A sturdy 3/8" diameter wooden ramrod serves the 20 gauge 48" octagon-to-round barrel. The bore measures .625" diameter and we recommend our 19 gauge cards and wads for use with shot. We recommend using a .595" ball with .015" patch or a .610" ball in a paper cartridge, using the cartridge paper as a wad, with no patch.

The barrel is fitted with a silver blade front sight mounted well behind the muzzle in French fashion. No rear sight is fitted. This fusil is fully qualified for use in the popular North West Trade Gun match, shooting both round balls a paper targets, and clay birds thrown from a trap house, under NMLRA rules.

Weighing in at 8.4 pounds the fusil has a trigger reach of 13-1/2" making the gun well suited for today's average size shooters.
