This large powder horn has a Tansel style neck with engrailed border. The horn is finished with a warm brown patina on the body and a dark tip. The tip has a paneled end, raised strap ring, and smooth transition to a engrailed border to the horn body. The horn measures 14-3/4" around the outside curve from the tip to the end of the beehive base, the acorn adds 1" to the overall length. Small iron nails secure the base to the horn. A hand carved wooden stopper is fitted. Add a leather or woven strap and this horn is ready to go!
