Stocked in maple, trimmed in iron, this is a classic Traveler's sash or belt pistol, circa 1810. This popular style would also be ideal for use by a American officer, during the American Revolution and later. This .54 caliber pistol appears to be lightly used with some marks on the frizzen face and a few marks on the brown finish from handling.
The tiny Becky's flint lock is fitted to this small pistol. The lock is finished to a dark brown to match the barrel and iron furniture. We recommend using our #Flint-ENG-4 best English 1/4" flints, hand knapped flints for this rifle.
A stainless steel vent liner is correctly centered and positioned well above the bottom of the pan. positioned well above the bottom of the pan, centered on the heat of the flash. A vent liner brings the main powder charge very close to the center of your priming flash. If your flint longrifle or pistol suffers from that infamous slow whoosh-bang ignition delay, study the work of today's best gun makers, and position your vent well centered on the pan, high above the bottom, to serve as a window on the center of the flash.
